A lot's changed in the five years since Faye and Rowan called
each other best friends. Now back in each other’s lives,
a night-out turns violent, and Faye learns that Rowan
is a cannibal. No questions asked, they get in the van
and hit the roads of rural Wales.
STAINS is an upcoming 16mm coming-of-age road-trip thriller
that's equal parts feral and heartfelt, blending the beauty
of the Welsh landscape with horror, dark comedy,
and moments of unexpected tenderness.
The film is part of a wider strategy to give Wales a fresh
cinematic identity. A Wales that young people can see
themselves in, a film with youthful spirit, that doesn’t
show Wales to be a dreary place, but somewhere
with humour, feralness and a real bite.
